 Coral Gables first coffee house, Cafe Demetrio, offers the coffee
lover a pinnacle of class, taste, and returns to the original concept of the coffee house that once flourished in 18th Century European
cafes: a meeting spot where poets, intellectuals artists, and working citizens, could spend an afternoon pondering the great questions of
mankind. The owners, Demetrio and Vilma Pina, a husband and wife team built the cafe on the original 1920's premises of Coral Gables' first newspaper.  The cafe is divided into three parts, the chess room, the patio and the
cafe's main dining room. Patrons are invited to linger for a while in the patio to enjoy the South Florida weather, play a game of chess,
or just sit and enjoy a quiet moment over a steaming cappuccino Demetrio, offers a wide selection of European delicacies,
including SacherTart, Linzertart, Apple strudel, Tiramisu, Opera, and Creme Brulee. The Coffee House also offers, coffee mugs, espresso makers, and coffee tins..
